And then she has sex with Karev and is in somewhat of a thing with him. And there's still teasing because Mark holding Callie through her chickenpox and Lexie says everything he does looks sexy.

Wait, and Sloan bails on Mark and takes her baby with her, so basically that whole innecessary drama is reverted.

But she still stays with Karev, despite Mark professing his love for her.

But don't worry, he tries to move on with Teddy and stuff and Lexie just breaks down because she's still in love with him.

So does she--

Hang on, and then you get some side-trip with Lexie being mean to April and then after a bit of nothing really, the shooter happens and Mark protects Lexie and in his arms, he tries to get her to safety.

Phew--

Wait, still. God, you're impatient. So Karev is dying from the gunshot wound and Lexie, with Mark there, professes some sort of never-leaving love for Alex.

Wha--

And that ends with Mark comforting her 'cause she thinks Alex will die.

....

So Lexie goes through a mental breakdown and Mark tries to help her, but she refuses to acknowledge it. And then when he just tries to tell her he wants to be there for her no matter what, she yells at him and he backs off.

Don't worry, she broke up with Karev and she's going to go to Mark eventually.

And she finds Mark about to have sex with Derek's sister, so she just doesn't do anything and but here's a cute moment where Mark tells someone else he digs Lexie.

Y-Yeah, that's cute, I guess.

I know, right. You're so spoiled. But don't worry, as they say, you'll pay. 'There's implied tension and longing that Jackson has for Lexie, but no worries 'cause Lexie and Mark get back together. And it's a hot kiss, wouldn't you say?

And so Lexie eventually begins this thing with Jackson and when Callie gets in a car wreck, there's this tension, and you know Lexie still loves Mark, but hey, she'll stick with Jackson for the time being.

Shhh! Okay, so Mark has his little baby girl and she's trying to be friends with him and so she tells him she's glad he's happy and he says he has everything he needs.......almost.

Is that implying?

So they'll get together soon?!

....And then there's this thing where Lexie sees Mark has some relationship going with Julia.

And right when she's about to tell him how she feels...

But she doesn't say anything and just shows obvious jealousy.

And there's a cute moment when she goes over to his apartment with Zola...

And Jackson is there. But relax, because four episodes after that episode, she hears Mark is going to move in with Julia.

But she tells him how she feels, right?

Ha, no! Better! She tries to, but bails.

Shut up, it'll be worth it! 'Cause you see, four episodes after THAT, Lexie finally tells him how she feels. And she says that she's always been in love with him and it's just this adorable, endearing moment.

And he says it back, at least?

"Thank you for your candor!"

But you know just by the moment, it's going to be soon! Focus on the adorableness of Lexie and what Chyler Leigh brings to that scene!

You're right, I love it, I'm so sorry I ever doubted you. They'll finally be together. It's been hard and a bit unbelievably annoying at times, but so long as--

But hey! It's bittersweet 'cause he professed his love for her as she's dying! It's just so beautiful, I can't even. And he talks about how they'll get married and have kids and then he says they're meant to be and then she repeats it and takes her final breath.
